Rates are published rather than quoted on a call. Standard audio description with captions is $7.50 per minute of finished runtime, with volume discounts from ten titles.

How long does it take?

Standard turnaround is 2 business days per title, and the clock starts when we have looked at the material and confirmed it is workable, not at checkout.

How many revisions are included?

Accepted Answer

Two rounds within thirty days, three business days per round. Re-cutting the film or changing the source master is out of scope.

Do you provide a conformance report?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in writing with every title. It verifies placement, coverage, pace, loudness, track structure and flags, and states plainly that it does not establish whether the description is accurate, which takes a person.

Does WCAG 2.1 Level AA require audio description?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Success Criterion 1.2.5, Audio Description (Prerecorded), is a Level AA criterion. At Level A you may substitute a text alternative for the video; at Level AA you may not, so an actual description track is required.

When does the ADA require audio description on government video?

Accepted Answer

The Department of Justice rule at 28 CFR 35.200 adopts WCAG 2.1 Level AA for state and local government under ADA Title II. Public entities serving 50,000 or more must comply by 26 April 2027, and smaller entities and special districts by 26 April 2028. Title II covers government, not private business.

Does every video need audio description?

No. SC 1.2.5 applies where the picture carries information the soundtrack does not already convey. If a narrator already says what is on screen, the video may already conform and need nothing from us. It is worth checking before you buy anything, and we will tell you if that is the case.
