Published rates

What does audio description cost?

Ours are published, per minute of finished runtime, and you can see them without talking to anybody.

ServicePer minute
Audio description, with captions$7.50
Priority — the same, faster$10
Studio voice — read by a person, not a synthesiser $18
Captions and SDH only$2.50

Volume discounts start at ten titles. A conformance report comes with every title, and two rounds of revisions are included.

The $7.50 includes the captions. Most description vendors bill captioning separately, so compare the bundle rather than the headline rate when you are pricing this out.

What moves the number

Runtime, and how much room the film gives us. A dialogue-heavy picture has fewer gaps to describe into, so it takes longer per minute than a quiet one, not less. Picture restoration, where a print needs it, is quoted separately.

The turnaround clock starts when a person has confirmed your material is workable, not at checkout — so a bad file never becomes a missed deadline.

Before you spend anything

Check whether you need description at all. If the soundtrack already carries the picture, your video may conform as it is.

Last checked 10 September 2026. These rules move: the ADA Title II deadline was extended in April 2026 and many pages still print the old date. If you are reading this long after the date above, check the citations rather than trusting the summary.
