The films here are free, there are no adverts and there is no account to make. That is not changing. This page is for anyone who wants to help pay for it anyway.
What the money actually pays for
- Running the site. One server, the bandwidth to send a feature film to whoever asks for it, and the storage the masters sit on.
- Audio description. 13 films carry a described track written and voiced here. Each one is days of work: a transcript, a pass to find the gaps, a script written against the picture, then the mix.
- Restoration. Getting a print off a 30-year-old telecine and into something worth watching, and the copyright research that has to happen before we may publish any of it.
Nothing here goes behind a paywall. Not the films, not the description, not the captions. If you give nothing you get exactly what everybody else gets, which is all of it.
