It is on every public domain list on the internet. The copyright record says otherwise, and here is the number.

The finding, and the working behind it
Not public domain: renewed as RE0000367877 on 11 January 1988 by Sino Productions, and in copyright.
A renewal registration exists and is on the public record. A search on the single word "angry" in the renewal class returns thirty-two records, all read, and this is one of them.
We are stating the registration and not computing the window. The film is dated 1959 in most references and the renewal was entered in January 1988, which fits a 1960 publication more neatly than a 1959 one. Which of those is the operative date is a question about the film’s release, not about whether a renewal was filed, and we have not settled it.
Either way the claim being made across the internet is that no renewal exists. One does.
