This is our restoration, with the audio description track mixed in. There is nothing to switch on: press play and the description is in the sound. It is free, there is no account, and nothing is counted.

The same film without description, if you would rather have the original sound alone.

Every film here that carries audio description — what description is, who it is for, and how ours are made.

How this print was restored

This copy of The Brain That Wouldn't Die was restored here, from a print that had been through a good deal before it reached us. The work finished on 2026-09-03. Every step is listed below, because a re-encode passed off as a restoration is worth nothing and the only way to tell them apart is to say what was done.

  • 291 audio description cues, Kokoro am_michael, seated by measured length in measured dialogue pauses: 0 overlaps, 0 cues outside a pause. Narration 17.1 min over an 82.9 min runtime. Delivery peak -4.5 dBTP. Tape Territory bumper joined at +5.005s without re-encoding the picture. Shipped as two files split from one master by stream copy -- described (a:0) and original (a:1) -- with the described track carrying disposition:descriptions and a track title, which is the EN 301 549 cl. 7.2 selection flag and the flag a 47 CFR 79.105 apparatus reads. 79.105 binds player and device manufacturers, not producers; the programming rule that applies here is 47 CFR 79.3.

The print we started from is here, so the before and after can be compared.
