Teenagers from Outer Space (1959): a fourteen thousand dollar invasion with a lobster for a monster. Watch Tom Graeff's cult sci-fi movie free, no account.
An alien scouting party lands to work out whether Earth will serve as pasture for the Gargons, their giant lobster-like livestock, and one young crewman defects because he has met a girl in suburban Los Angeles. The film is sincere in a way expensive pictures rarely manage, and that is most of its charm.
Tom Graeff wrote it, produced it, directed it, shot it, cut it and acted in it, for around fourteen thousand dollars, filming around Hollywood and talking his way into locations for nothing. The full-grown monster is the shadow of an ordinary lobster thrown against a wall.
Warner Bros. bought it for distribution, for rather more than it cost to make.
